A driving expert has revealed that many drivers are getting confused about what two lines on a kerb mean - and some even thought it meant something completely different
No matter your experience behind the wheel, there's often a road sign or marking that baffles even seasoned drivers. It turns out that many drivers have only just discovered the true meaning of a particular road marking after years on the road, with some previously holding entirely different beliefs about its significance.
In her latest video, she highlighted a common confusion regarding a specific road marking two lines on a kerb. Annie clarified: "Yellow lines on the road mean no waiting. Waiting is the same as parking. So when you see two yellow lines painted on the road you can stop to drop somebody off, you can stop to pick somebody up, but you're not allowed to wait there. You're not allowed to park there.
However, the kerb lines often lead to misunderstandings, as they are not intended for drivers. The driving expert elaborated: "They are for people making deliveries. These are loading lines. So people who might want to stop their van or their lorry to deliver something or collect something." A social media user expressed thanks for the clarification: "Wonderful. I thought that was for car drivers... thanks for clarifying that."
