A man deliberately drove a pickup truck into a crowd celebrating New Year's Eve in New Orleans, killing at least 10 people and injuring over 30. The suspect then opened fire on two police officers, who are in stable condition. Authorities believe the suspect is dead. At least 10 people are dead and more than 30 others injured in New Orleans after a car purposely drove into a crowd during New Year’s celebrations. In a statement on its website, the City of New Orleans confirmed the “mass casualty incident involving a vehicle that drove into a large crowd on Canal and Bourbon Street.”
“We do know that the city of New Orleans was impacted by a terrorist attack,” Mayor Mayor LaToya Cantrell said at a news conference.
