A shooting on I-35 in San Antonio has left one person injured. Police are searching for the suspect who rammed and shot another driver after a road rage incident.
San Antonio police said it is searching for a driver who rammed their vehicle and shot another driver on the East Side. According to an SAPD officer on the scene, one vehicle hauling a trailer and a second vehicle first traveled southbound along I-35 . The driver hauling the trailer attempted to get in front of the second vehicle but had difficulty due to its cargo, authorities said.
At one point, police said both vehicles exited off Interstate 35, made a U-turn and began traveling northbound on I-35. While along the interstate, SAPD said the driver hauling a trailer changed lanes to the right-hand lane next to the second vehicle’s passenger side and rammed their vehicle into it. Next, the officer said the suspect’s vehicle came back around and began driving in the left-hand lane next to the victim’s vehicle. After that, the suspect driving with a trailer pulled out a weapon and fired at the victim’s vehicle five times. Both vehicles then pulled over into a parking lot on the I-35 access road near Rittiman Road. The officer said the victim, a 44-year-old man, was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The department said its investigation is ongoing
