A driver pursued by officers who died in a crash on U.S. 85 near Eaton has been identified.
Craig R. Licari, 66, of Minnesota, died Thursday in a crash during a high-speed pursuit with law enforcement authorities, according to the Weld County Coroner’s Office.and ended in Weld County with the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.In 1999, Licari was convicted ofin the death of his estranged wife, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. In January 2017 he was granted a supervised release from prison.
An investigation into the crash by the CSP is ongoing. The final cause and manner of his death is awaiting completion of autopsy and laboratory results.
