Thursday morning around Indianapolis. At least one driver got to safety on the city's northeast side with some help."To wake up thinking you're going to go to work and then have your car flooded is terrible," Shane McClellan said.
McClellan and his brother Jaadyn were in the area near 75th Street and Binford Boulevard for their lawn care business. "There were a couple other cars around here. They were just sitting around here. They weren't moving," McClellan said."He was like, 'Get out of your car! Get out of your car!'" McClellan said."She could walk out. She was just scared. I would be too."The woman was able to get out of her car on her own.
"All I can do is thank God though because it's not on us. It really isn't. God put us in the right place at the right time. He did it. He saved her life it wasn't us," McClellan said.IMPD said her car is among a handful towed from near that intersection Thursday morning. "What's it going to be five minutes? Or your car. I'd just turn around. Never try to move through moving water," McClellan said"We didn't think it was going to be this bad. We're not going to be able to mow for a while, sadly, but I'm glad everybody's safe and alright. That's the important thing," McClellan said.
