A driver was taken into custody, and another was injured following a wrong-way crash on Interstate 80 in Parleys Canyon. The crash happened on Sunday, shortly after 11 p.m., according to Utah Highway Patrol.
A deputy was responding to a wrong-way vehicle that "quickly escalated to a person-injured crash" in the canyon. He was later taken to the hospital for medical care, though the extent of his injuries was not disclosed. A field sobriety test was conducted, during which Utah Highway Patrol reported noticing several signs of impairment. Michels reportedly said he was driving westbound from Park City when he saw a vehicle ahead and hit it.
