- After a wet weekend filled with scattered showers and thunderstorms, the region is in for a drier stretch through the first half of the work week. Monday brings partly cloudy to partly sunny skies with a high near 83°.

While better chances for rain stay north of the area, a stray thunderstorm or two could still pop up this afternoon and evening. The rain chance is low at just 10%, but if any storms do develop, they could pack some hail or gusty winds. Overnight conditions turn clearer as any shower chances fade away. After another foggy morning, Tuesday continues the pleasant pattern with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and a high near 84°.Wednesday stays dry and warm with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and a high near 85°. However, late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning marks a significant shift in the forecast. A round of scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms is expected to move through the region Thursday morning. Rain chances jump to 80% during the morning hours before conditions turn partly cloudy by afternoon. Temperatures will be noticeably cooler, with a high near 71°.The end of the work week and weekend bring a return to drier conditions and slightly cooler temperatures. Friday and Saturday both feature sunny to mostly sunny skies with highs in the lower to middle 70s. Sunday rounds out the extended outlook with mostly sunny skies and a high near 81°.A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect along the coast until 10 a.m. CDT Monday.
