Talk show host Drew Barrymore and lifestyle guru Martha Stewart address a viral moment from a November interview where Stewart playfully pushed Barrymore away. Barrymore insists the moment was meant to be lighthearted and reveals that she now considers Stewart a friend.
The talk show host, 49, went viral last November when Stewart, 83, playfully pushed her away during an interview on The Drew Barrymore Show. However, according to Barrymore, the moment was all in good fun.
Barrymore continued, “When I was first getting to know her, I was like, ‘I don’t think she likes me.’ But I think I broke through … she doesn’t dislike me.”Barrymore and Stewart had a playful moment in November while discussing how Stewart likes to be treated by romantic partners. Stewart admitted that “soft and gooey” shows of affection work on her. “When you’re treated like a lady,” Barrymore said, stroking Stewart’s arm in the process.
Actress Valerie Bertinelli recently complimented Barrymore on her “touchy-feely” interviewing technique. Barrymore also referenced her tendency to touch people during an episode of her show in December 2024.
