Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green had no interest in repairing his relationship with Jordan Poole.

Head coach Steve Kerr repeatedly attempted to convince Green to take Poole out to dinner and smooth over their fractured relationship, all of which Green declined, per the report.Green’s refusal to take Poole to dinner and his overall unwillingness to repair the relationship led Poole to feel isolated from the team’s veteran stars, the Ringer reported.
Poole, 24, reportedly felt pressure to prove to the team’s older stars — Green, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson — that he was capable of carrying the torch of their dynasty, leading him to make on-court mistakes. Poole played a critical role in helping the Warriors win the 2021-22 championship and was subsequently rewarded with a monstrous four-year, $128 million contract.He struggled mightily last year to live up to that deal, however, particularly in the playoffs, when he averaged just 10.3 points per game on 34 percent shooting from the field and 25 percent from 3-point range.along with Patrick Baldwin Jr., a 2030 first-round pick and a 2027 second-round pick to the Wizards for Chris Paul.
