Green’s return does keep the frontcourt crowded ahead of Kuminga, who will still have a tough path to substantial playing time behind Green, Looney, Wiggins, Payton and perhaps even Saric. But absences and injuries happen. Kuminga found plenty of extended playing time last regular season. His problem emerged in the playoffs, when he fell out of the rotation. It’ll be on Kuminga to show growth but also on Kerr to give him more trust and find better lineup combinations to bring out his talent.
