On Monday morning, the club's CEO Ryan Webb, said he had been blindsided by Hunt's request, as he still has two years left on his current agreement."But that was felt right across the club because no-one wants to be where we are on the ladder right now.Hunt's request follows months of turbulence for the club, whichwas appointed by the Dragons' boardDragons CEO Ryan Webb says he hopes to speak to Hunt about his concerns in order to keep him at the club.
"We just need him to talk and tell us why he feels he's in this position and why leaving is his best option. Mr Webb said there had been no discussion about replacing Hunt as captain in the wake of his request to leave but said he was frustrated with the timing as the club languishes towards the bottom of the NRL ladder.
