DraftKings came under scrutiny on Monday for allegedly offering a parlay featuring New York City-area sports teams in remembrance of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

"Counting down the minutes until DraftKings pulls this ‘never forget’ 9/11 parlay," The Wall Street Journal’s Nick Guy wrote. About 343 people placed a bet on the parlay, the image read.The image continued to make its rounds on Monday morning before it appeared to be pulled from the website. "We sincerely apologize for the featured parlay that was shared briefly in commemoration of 9/11," the company said in a statement. "We respect the significance of this day for our country and especially for the families of those who were directly affected."
