Veep creator Armando Iannucci is adapting Stanley Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove into a play that's currently scheduled to premiere in late 2024.

. “But we could not resist authorizing this project: the time is right, the people doing it are fantastic, and Strangelove should be brought to a new and younger audience. I am sure Stanley would have approved it too.”Originally released in 1964, Dr. Strangelove was directed, co-written , and produced by Kubrick. The screenplay is loosely based on a 1958 novel written by George titled Red Alert.
