KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 9 — The number of new Covid-19 cases in the first epidemiological week from Jan 1 to 7, recorded a drop of 14.2 per cent, to 3,231 cases compared with 3,767 cases reported in the previous week.
The number of imported cases was also lower by 43.8 per cent, from 32 cases to 18 cases, he said in a statement today.He added that in ME 1/2023, the number of deaths has also dropped by 4.5 per cent . Dr Noor Hisham also said that the cumulative number of clusters was 7,167, with nine of them still active.
