COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M Police announced on Saturday that a state trooper who came into contact with South Carolina players during the team’s game had been relieved of his duties. The incident occurred late in the second quarter after South Carolina receiver Nyck Harbor caught an 80-yard touchdown pass. Harbor appeared to injure his right leg and began walking toward the tunnel. As he was going back onto the field, a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper and Harbor appeared to bump into each other, prompting the trooper to point and yell something at him.The Texas Department of Public Safety is aware of the incident that occurred today during the Texas A&M football game. The DPS Trooper involved was sent home from the game. Our Office of Inspector General is also aware of the incident and will be further looking into the matter.
