USDA recall list gives a preliminary assessment of schools affected by the meat recall. NJ schools are impacted, too.
Dozens of schools in the New York area are on the USDA's preliminary list. Impacted retailers range from Trader Joe's to Walmart, Costco and Targetof meat and poultry products potentially contaminated with listeria has expanded to nearly 12 million pounds and now includes ready-to-eat meals sent to U.S. schools, dozens of them in New York and New Jersey, restaurants and major retailers, federal officials said.
