SEATTLE — The city is temporarily shutting down a bus stop on Third Avenue in downtown Seattle.
The northbound bus stop between Pike and Pine streets will be closed in an effort to reduce crime in the problem area.A spokesperson for the mayor’s office said the closure was requested by the Seattle Police Department to allow officers to increase their presence in the area and watch for criminal activity.
People who usually catch their bus at stop #578 will have to shift one block down to stop #575, just south of Pike near Ross Dress for Less.
