SAN JOSE — The potential purchase of one of the two landmark towers of the Signia by Hilton San Jose might provide a big boost to the local economy by bringing more visitors to downtown San Jose, experts say.
The 541-room northern tower, where the current hotel lobby, restaurants, fitness center, swimming pool, large and small meeting spaces and other amenities are located, isn’t up for sale. “There is a much better chance to fill the north tower with hotel guests while the south tower is filled with long-term stay tenants,” Stettinski said.
Plus, long-term tenants in the southern tower would potentially benefit from the features in the north highrise.
