Over 5,300 SDG&E customers in downtown San Diego, Little Italy, Balboa Park and Golden Hill experienced a sudden power outage on Saturday evening. The outage impacted residents, businesses, traffic lights and high-rises. While power was restored to most by Sunday morning, the incident caused disruption and inconvenience for many enjoying the Saturday evening.

A spokesperson with the company said they are still investigating to determine the cause of the outage.Since it was Saturday evening, plenty of folks were out and about in downtown San Diego and were affected by the outage.
