Downtown Dallas’ newest redevelopment is already up for sale.
Built in the 1960s as an office tower, the 52-story Elm Street building was renovated by Dallas’ Todd Interests as a Thompson Hotel, luxury apartments, office space and retail. The National’s owners are selling the 324 rental units in the skyscraper, and commercial property firm Jones Lang LaSalle has been hired to market the property.
The apartments are on floors 22 through 48 of the tower, with special penthouse rental units at the top of the building. The National is the latest high-rise Dallas apartment property to go up for grabs. Downtown’s Third Rail Lofts apartments on Main Street just sold to New York-based Sentinel Real Estate. And The Mosaic — a two-building, 440-unit loft apartment community at Akard and Bryan streets — is also for sale.
