A Cuyahoga County grand jury has indicted three men for a deadly shooting that killed two people and injured two others in Downtown Cleveland late last month.
CLEVELAND, Ohio - , 27-year-old Mark Hardy, 23-year-old Kenneth Patterson, along with 23-year-old Da’Karai Johnson were standing with a group of people near the corner of East 13th Street and St Clair Avenue when they got into an altercation. According to police, Hardy, Patterson, and Johnson fired multiple shots hitting 28-year-old Ta’Von Thompson, 24-year-old De’Andre Smith, a 26-year-old female, and a 19-year-old male.Hardy, Patterson, and Johnson all fled the scene on foot.
All four victims were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center. Ta’Von Thompson and De’Andre Smith were later pronounced deceased. According to police, Hardy and Patterson shot Ta’Von Thompson and De’Andre Smith. Johnson shot the 26-year-old female and 19-year-old male. Hardy and Johnson were arrested by CPD on June 6, Patterson fled to Tennessee and was arrested by the Tennessee Highway Patrol on June 12.Two counts of Felonious AssaultAll for will be arraigned at a later date.
