According to the Opelika Observer, the subject of Target’s distinctive red colors came up during a recent Auburn City Council meeting.
Target’s newest location in Alabama is set to open next month in the Loveliest Village of the Plain.
The new retail store will fill a 19,200-square-foot space on the ground floor of a four-story building at 129 College St. in Auburn.there will be space for 32 apartments and a parking lot behind the Godbold building, with room for 42 spaces. The store is similar to one in Athens, Ga.Target has another location in Opelika at Tiger Town Outdoor Shopping Center, as well as stores in 17 other Alabama cities. This new Auburn location is closer to campus.
All State Glass of Birmingham, a commercial glass and glazing subcontractor, participated in the project, outfitting both the store and the exterior of the building.
