Last season’s beaten Tailteann Cup finalists are one more step from returning to the decider, but Down must first overcome Sligo in today’s semi-final.
The sides have already met once this season with the Mournemen winning by 12 points in Páirc Esler in March. Down enjoyed a comfortable nine-point win over Wicklow in Newry with John McGovern’s early goal helping the hosts to a 1-18 to 0-12 victory while Sligo eased to a 2-20 to 0-9 win over Limerick in Markievicz Park.When and where is the game?
