Three into two doesn’t go and one of Down, Clare or Westmeath will miss out on promotion this weekend.
All three teams know that one win will earn them promotion Two for the 2025 season and also provide them with a chance of testing themselves at a higher level later this summer. While last year’s provincial Championship ensured a Division Four team would reach the Super 16s, it is likely that this season’s Division Three winners would avoid the Tailteann Cup based on the final League standings.That means the stakes are high for Down and Clare ahead of Sunday’s round seven clash.
