Dow industrials suffer triple-digit loss at Friday's opening bell
U.S. stock benchmarks Friday morning traded solidly lower, putting the thee main indexes on a path to book weekly losses and halt a three-session advance amid further investor concerns about trade relations between the U.S. and its international counterparts. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, -0.33% traded about 94 points, or 0.4%, lower at 25,772, the S&P 500 index SPX, -0.47% declined 0.4% at 2,864, and the Nasdaq Composite Index COMP, -0.64% retreated 0.5% at 7,857, in early trade.
