The men walked to an area near the Washington Monument and the Ellipse to listen to the speakers at the"Stop the Steal" rally, the criminal complaint states.Just after 2 p.m.
After the scuffle, Montgomery and the two Utah men went up the Upper West Terrace stairs with the rest of the growing mob, the complaint says. The men entered the Capitol at approximately at 2:35 p.m.The men entered the Senate gallery a little before 2:45 p.m., the complaint states. The men then left the Senate Gallery and went to the second floor near the Senate Floor, confronting a U.S. Capitol Police officer, the complaint says.
