A social studies teacher at Douglas County High School was charged Thursday with sexual assault of a child.
The 55-year-old lives in Centennial and began working at the Douglas County School District in 1999. According to district officials, Thomure is on administrative leave “pending investigation.” When the student put a hand on his chest to keep him away, Thomure said the student was “driving crazy,” according to the affidavit. Thomure told the student that he wanted to do things to them, that they could go to the park over the summer and that “casual sex can be fun.”
