The nation's second gentleman Doug Emhoff took part in a campaign rally in Allentown on behalf of wife Kamala Harris, the vice president and Democratic candidate for president.
On Saturday in Allentown, U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona and U.S. Rep. Susan Wild were among those who joined the second gentleman for the rally at Dieruff High School.
Emhoff’s visit coincided with National Hispanic Heritage Month and sought to highlight both the campaigns of his wife and Wild, who is in a tight race for reelection to the Lehigh Valley’s 7th Congressional District. Pennsylvania is one of just seven states where the campaigns for Harris and Trump will devote almost all of their remaining time and resources.
