Linemen from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and South Carolina have been working since Friday afternoon.
Dothan 's crew joined linemen from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and South Carolina to help out after tornadoes ran through on Friday.“Initially they had more power outages than Dothan Utilities serves,” said Chris Phillips, Assistant Director at Dothan Utilities .
“We typically try to rotate between four line crews and give each one an opportunity to go help their neighbors,” said Phillips.“Through this, it gives us the capability to go help out neighbors when they’re in need,” said Phillips. “We had some crews come here during Hurricane Michael,” said Phillips. “We couldn’t have gotten all of our customers back online without their help.”
