Principal James Williams said the school needed these resources to fill critical gaps.
DOTHAN, Ala. - Dothan Prep Academy students celebrated the opening of two new learning spaces designed to help them thrive, marking the school’s move past recovery mode after a March tornado damaged its library.
Bright Key rooms have been appearing around Dothan City Schools as an interactive initiative to help maximize each student’s academic potential. The library offers skills such as podcasting and using a Cricut machine.“It’s sort of sending the message to my staff, to our students, that our school is settling from the storm, that we’re regaining focus, we’re getting our footing, and we’re putting things in place, and we’re doing things again. That school, that’s what’s best for children,” Williams said. The Dream Room opens in January. It will offer tutoring, academic growth, and a safe space for all students.
