Dothan native Thomas Ponder enters the season-ending Fortinet Cup Championship on the PGA Americas Tour with momentum from his best finish as a pro.

The fourth-place tie surpassed Ponder’s previous best of a seventh-place finish on the Noth American Swing, which he began in June after graduating from the University of Alabama. The Fortinet Cup Championship is Thursday through Sunday on the TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley Course in Caledon, Ontario in Canada, near Toronto. The field is limited to 120 golfers.
