Staff Report SMITHS STATION – Dothan High took advantage of three interceptions by the defense and the running of A.J. Alexander to win for the second straight week, this time whipping Smiths Station 48-0 on Friday night.An interception by Kerry Gatlin set up Dothan’s first touchdown. Alexander would score on a 1-yard run to close out the drive, making it 7-0 with 2:16 left in the opening quarter.
On the ensuing drive, Dothan’s Cason Boothe came up with an interception and the Wolves would capitalize again as Alexander scored on a 10-yard run early in the second quarter. Gatlin got his second interception of the game and returned it 10 yards for a touchdown to put Dothan up 21-0 with 10:37 left in the second quarter.

Alexander kept the momentum going with a 74-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter.
