Since opening in the summer of 2022, city leaders have noticed issues with the establishment.
DOTHAN, Ala. - The Dothan City Commission is closing the doors on a controversial business, saying they are not being ran as advertised..“They are licensed as a restaurant, but they are operating as a bar,” said Todd McDonald, Director of Planning and Development in Dothan. “That’s one of our principal issues with this space.”
When it came to a vote, the commission voted to revoke the business and alcohol license at Pearl Lounge with a 4-1 vote. Commissioner Kevin Dorsey was the lone vote against revoking the licenses.— except for one. The vote causes the business to shut their doors, a decision Dothan Police Chief William Benny said will be a relief to his team.
