The former Ireland and Munster rugby player joined 2FM Breakfast three years ago - if he leaves he would be following in the footsteps of Jennifer Zamparelli, Doireann Garrihy and The 2 Johnnies
This comes just four weeks after his co-presenter Doireann Garrihy left the popular slot.
Doireann revealed she was leaving the show last month, citing working on her own projects the reasons behind the move. She said: "Now, it’s time for my podcasts Doireann and Friends and The Laughs Of Your Life, to travel, to give more to the people who have been on this journey with me since the viral impressions video of 2016 and to pursue the projects I’ve been dreaming about. As we would say to our lovely callers on air, good luck and thanks.
TikTok and Instagram favourite Kayleigh Trappe looks set to join 2FM, taking over the drivetime slot with David O'Reilly. Yesterday, Bookie BoyleSports suspended betting on her becoming the next host after a significant gamble.
