The NGO offered a season of free English and Maths tuition classes, resulting in a significant positive impact.
Serikat Rakyat Malaysia director Mohamad Danish Shahmi Mohd Hairuddin was grateful for the donation of RM3,692 from the Bukit Gasing assemblyman’s office.
“It will go towards the second season of our Free Tuition Programme, also known as Project IQ, in May,” he said, adding that education was vital to break the cycle of poverty. Another resident, Zulkarnian Abu Bakar said the free tuition classes had been well-received by primary school pupils.“The pupils are highly motivated to attend every session as the classes are very engaging and interactive,” he said.
