Donald Trump is suspending a host of visas for high-skilled workers which would prevent hundreds of thousands of foreigners taking up jobs in the United States.A senior Trump administration official estimated the restrictions would stop up to 525,000 people entering the country during the rest of 2020, freeing up half a million jobs for US citizens in an “America-first recovery”.
