Former President Donald Trump suffered a 'devastating day' in court on Monday in his Manhattan criminal trial, a defense attorney said.On Tuesday, defense attorney David Oscar Markus appeared on CNN's Trump Hush Money Trial special and said: 'What a devastating day for the defense.''It should have been a positive day for the defense ending with this terrible witness Michael Cohen and now was just an awful day for the defense,' Markus said.
Costello was repeatedly frustrated while on the witness stand, according to Newsweek's Katherine Fung reporting from the Manhattan courtroom. After a sustained objection, Costello said loudly, 'Jeez!' Merchan was then heard responding, 'I'm sorry?'After additional sustained objections, Costello blew 'raspberries,' according to Fung. Merchan then called for a break and asked the jury to step out.
