Sales of former President Donald Trump’s original NFT collection are down, but the team just released sweepstakes prizes from the same account that issued the first set in December.

In December, Donald Trump’s nonfungible token collection sold out in less than 24 hours on OpenSea, a popular NFT marketplace. On Thursday morning, the same OpenSea account that sold the original set of Trump Digital Trading Card NFTs launched sweepstakes prizes called “Win Trump Prizes.”

When the original Trump NFT collection launched in December and sold for $99 each, users were told they’d be entered into a sweepstakes to win prizes, and anyone who bought 45 NFTs out of 45,000 offered could win a gala dinner with Trump. The new collection of “Win Trump Prizes” had 668 holders as of Thursday, and a total trading volume of 38 ETH, or around $54,000, according to OpenSea.

Jean Carroll's defamation lawsuit stemming from the former U.S. president's 2019 denial that he raped her. An eight-judge panel of the district's highest local court is expected to decide whether Trump was acting as president when, in response to a reporter's question, he accused the former Elle magazine columnist of lying about the alleged mid-1990s encounter. During more than 2-1/2 hours of oral arguments, Trump's lawyer Alina Habba said there was great public interest in letting presidents 'deal fearlessly with the American people' when fielding questions from reporters and constituents, entitling Trump to broad immunity covering Carroll's claim.
