He’s said he’ll “probably” debate her but he “can also make a case for not doing it.”
And in a recent interview with conservative commentator Laura Ingraham Trump appeared to be leaning more towards not meeting Harris on the debate stage.: Well wait. But because they already know everything. She wants to defund our police. She wants no bail, she wants no cash. You just, you kill somebody and we’re going to release you immediately. They call it ‘cashless, cashless.’ That’s, by the way, this has been a horrible thing for our country. This has been what I just said.
Last week, in a phone call with reporters, Trump was asked if he’d commit to debating Harris at least once. He responded: “Oh yes, absolutely. I’d want to,” and said there was an obligation to debate.“I want to do a debate. But I also can say this. Everybody knows who I am. And now people know who she is,” Trump said.Trump has skipped debates before, including all the 2024 Republican presidential primary debates.
