A new musical is coming to New York City that depicts the ghost of John McCain living inside the head of former U.S. President Donald Trump.The Ghost of John McCain is the off-Broadway musical premiering at SoHo Playhouse on Tuesday night. It's set in the moments after the former Republican Arizona senator's death in 2018, where instead of ascending to heaven he is trapped in a kind of purgatory inside of Trump's brain.
The musical is not the first time Trump, who is the Republican nominee for the 2024 presidential election, has been mocked for supposedly having McCain rattling around in his head.'My father lives rent free in your head,' Meghan told Trump in 2019 in a since-deleted post on X. That came after Trump had incorrectly tweeted that McCain was 'last in his class' at the U.S. Naval Academy.
