President Donald Trump may face trouble in the red state of Texas in the 2020 presidential election, with a new poll showing that former Vice President Joe Biden is slightly ahead, and that Trump is either tied or barely leading other Democratic candidates.
The poll, conducted from April 25 to 28, had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points. The president is not as popular in Texas as he would like. Trump had a 46 percent approval rating in the poll and a 44 percent disapproval rating. However, Republicans in the state still strongly support Trump, with 87 percent choosing him over Republican opponent Bill Weld who got 13 percent. That survey had a margin of error of plus or minus 5.3 percentage points.
