Alyssa Farah Griffin attacks Trump's backing of Kari Lake in Arizona and Mark Robinson in North Carolina.
Donald Trump may end up losing two key swing states in November because he endorsed 'fringe' MAGA candidates in statewide elections, says Alyssa Farah Griffin.Griffin, the former White House communications director under the Trump administration who turned vocal critic of the former president, suggested that his backing of Kari Lake in Arizona's U.S. Senate race and Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson in the North Carolina gubernatorial election may backfire.
'Mark Robinson has been on the record with some deeply antisemitic statements, some anti-woman statements, some deep misogyny. Kari Lake, the list goes on, election denialism and so on.'Griffin said that both Lake and Robinson could motivate people to 'boost' Harris in November. She added that in Arizona, there could be a ' McCain coalition' of former Republicans who will 'come out with a vengeance, and they will strongly consider voting for Harris.
