He gave an interview to this daughter-in-law Lara Trump for her podcast that was released on Friday, but the former president's nuclear comments appear to have been edited out.
PatriotTakes, who describe themselves as"researchers monitoring and exposing right-wing extremism," shared a 40-second clip of the interview to"Lara Trump apparently censored Trump's comments calling nuclear weapons, 'the N-word,' from her show,"Notice the jump-cut at ," the group added. It is not clear if what part of Trump's comments were edited out, if any, or if the former president said the phrase"the N-word" to refer to nuclear weapons. Trump has used the term to describe the weapons in the past, and PatriotTakes shared some examples of those comments.
During the interview, Trump discussed Russia and Ukraine, and at one point he said:"And now for the last two weeks,That line was immediately followed by a jump-cut and, afterward, Trump continued:"I said, 'You don't mention it, and you don't mention it. You don't say it.' Well, they've used the nuclear word, and it's considered a no-no. You don't do it.
PatriotTakes also wrote that it would be hypocritical if the interview had been edited to remove some of Trump's comments as both the former president and Lara Trump complained about censorship during their conversation.
