Donald Glover confirms he hired Malia Obama, 23, as a writer for new show, gushing that she's 'amazingly talented' - as his brother insists she gets no special treatment 'just because she is the former President's daughter'
The multihyphenate is writing and executive producing the Amazon project, potentially titled 'Hive,' which is reportedly about 'a Beyoncé-type character'. Glover gushed that Obama is an 'amazingly talented person' with a strong work ethic, saying she is 'focused' and 'working really hard'. He believes the former First Daughter has a promising future in the industry and will 'have really good things coming soon'.
Obama, who relocated to Los Angeles for her first Hollywood gig, has also been working with Glover's younger brother, Stephen Glover. When asked how he goes about rejecting Obama's pitches, Stephan joked, 'Well, you know, we just hurt her feelings,' adding that 'she’s very down to earth'.
