KUALA LUMPUR: As debates on Budget 2023 at the committee stage begins in Parliament, MPs were advised by Deputy Speaker Datuk Ramli Mohd Nor not to go off-topic in their respective speeches.
Ramli also said it was important for MPs to refer to specific points in Budget 2023 in their respective speeches.“When debating in the committee stage, specific details of the ministries must be mentioned,” said Ramli in Parliament on Monday .
“Two or three ministries will participate each day and Parliament meetings will take place till night time. Be prepared. Meanwhile, Ramli said each MP was allocated five minutes to debate and the Opposition leader can be given up to 10mins, depending on the prerogative of the speaker chairing the then session.
