Dominic Raab should be suspended during bullying inquiry, says ex-Tory chairman 🔴 Jake Berry insisted that as MPs and ministers were “not some form of special human being” they should be treated “like anyone else”

No 10 was adamant that the Prime Minister was not aware of any “formal complaints” against Mr Raab when he gave him the Cabinet post in October. Mr Sunak insists as soon as he was aware of the claims he appointed senior lawyer Adam Tolley to investigate.

“The way these sort of complaints would be dealt with in the private sector is you would be suspended while they were investigated.” Civil servants’ union the FDA has called for Mr Raab to be suspended and has raised concerns that Mr Tolley’s investigation may be “swept under the carpet” if Mr Raab decides to resign before it is completed.
