The victim of a domestic abuser who threatened a woman with a stun gun bravely helped to convict him by secretly recording his vile threats.

Last week, the 47-year-old appeared at Hamilton Sheriff court and admitted to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards her. The Sunday Mail told in 2019 how Zahid, who goes by the name Paul, was convicted of assaulting former girlfriend Michelle who claimed he had abducted her and shot her with a stun gun when she tried to escape.

“He told me ‘she got dealt with’ and I was terrified. It went on for months and in the end, I had to go to the police.” “He knew I had been the victim of domestic abuse and he knew I was so vulnerable. He cheated multiple times and even slept with a woman in my bed which I discovered when I found his boxers in the washing machine covered in bodily fluids.
