Australian producer Dom Dolla selects his top 10 house tracks of all time.
Dom Dolla is quarantining in Australia, but that doesn't mean he's not keeping busy with music.
This past Saturday, the producer got behind the decks of an empty warehouse space in his hometown of Melbourne and busted outfor Untitled's Virtual Day Party. It was a hyphy, high-energy event that got thousands of people around the world moving -- even though Dolla was the only person in the room. Much of the music Dolla played during the show, and in fact much of the music he makes, takes inspiration from house legends new and old. Here, in his own words, the producer shares his 10 favorite house tracks of all time."For me, Trentemøller has always been so forward thinking in terms of sound design and musical ideas I’ve always struggled to fit his sound into a box within the dance genre. Although released in 2007 it feels like this track could slip right into 2020 and beyond.
