Park District officials at a news conference Tuesday said that barriers, accompanied by police officers on the day of the event, prevented not only the attendees at the car show from getting into the park, but regular park patrons. The filing by Michelle Broughton-Fountain, attorney for the Park District, says the temporary restraining order is needed because “without any notice at any time, the Village of Dolton could place barriers to any property it owns,” referring to Park District property.
Cleo Jones, president of the Dolton Park District Board, speaks at a news conference Aug. 15, 2023, at the Park District's offices.
