Dolphins cut Mike White as Skylar Thompson wins QB2 job

The Dolphins are releasing quarterback Mike White as they make their cuts down to the 53-man limit, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Skylar Thompson slings his 2nd TD vs. the Buccaneers Marcel Louis-Jacques joined ESPN in 2019 as a beat reporter covering the Buffalo Bills, before switching to the Miami Dolphins in 2021. The former Carolina Panthers beat writer for the Charlotte Observer won the APSE award for breaking news and the South Carolina Press Association award for enterprise writing in 2018.

He split reps with Thompson, 27, throughout the Dolphins' offseason program this year, however, as coach Mike McDaniel looked to settle the position via a series of stress tests in practice.
